Visiting Agua Buena
Agua Buena is a small town in southern Costa Rica's highland Coto Brus region. The town is located near the border with Panama and is within the buffer zone of La Amistad Biosphere Reserve, the largest forested area in Central America. The town is located 15 km south of the town of San Vito and the Wilson Botanical Garden.

Getting There
By bus: Tracopa has 4 daily buses from San Jose to San Vito continuing to Agua Buena. The bus will stop in Agua Buena in front of the blue Coopepueblos cooperative building located across from the church. The bus that leaves San Jose at 8:15 AM provides the most convenient timing for arrival in Agua Buena (approximately 3:30 PM).
Driving: From San Vito, take the highway to Agua Buena past the Wilson Botanical garden. Agua Buena is located 15 km from San Vito. Park near the blue Coopepueblos cooperative building (hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM Mon-Sat).
